The Monitor was launched in 1908 by Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of the Church of Christ, Scientist with the mission “to injure no man, but to bless all mankind.”

Though published by the Christian Science church, the Monitor is a non-denominational publication, widely known for its un-biased and non-sensationalized reporting. To-date, The Monitor has won 14 foreign press awards and received the coveted Pulitzer Prize seven times.
