Christian Science Lectures

What an opportunity. Public talks (Lectures) on Christian Science, given by members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, are excellent opportunities for both newcomers and veteran Christian Scientists alike to learn more about and to progress in the practice of Christian Science. They are prepared not only to talk about the healing aspect of this Science but also how it affects every other area of life. These Christian Science Lectures are usually free (sponsored by local Christian Science branch churches) and are open to the public.

For information about current Christian Science lectures and lecturers, please refer to Find a Lecture.

Media

The Christian Science Sentinel Radio Edition is a weekly radio program broadcast around the world and released monthly on CD. It deals with the same issues as the Christian Science Sentinel magazine, via interviews and discussions.

Institutional Services

Regionally, local committees provide Christian Science chaplains and workers to offer healing and regenerating truths in government-sponsored institutions such as prisons, reformatories, work camps, jails, mental hospitals, juvenile facilities, and Department of Veterans Affairs facilities in California.

For information about this healing ministry in Orange County, please refer to the Christian Science Committee on Institutional Work in Orange County (www.csciwoc.org/).

Literature Racks

For off-hour seekers for Truth, our Christian Science Reading Room includes literature racks mounted just outside the entrance, and on the corner of Lemon and Main St., stocked with past issues of the “Christian Science Journal”, “Christian Science Sentinel”, “Herald of Christian Science”, and/or “The Christian Science Monitor” free for the taking. The literature rack also includes invitations to other upcoming events such as Christian Science Lectures and online web casts.

Pathways of Hope

Our church lends a helping hand to Pathways of Hope: a non-profit home for up to ten families in need. Families are given 9 to 12 months of help and support to get back on their feet and be productive citizens and capable of caring for their children. This organization is not connected with Christian Science; however, our church membership supports this organization as an outreach program. We collect and deliver non-perishable food and supplies generally every other month. (Pathways of Hope)

If you wish to participate in this outreach program, please call the Christian Science Reading Room at 714-777-2391 Tue, Thur, Sat. 10-1 or Wed. 6:30-7:30 p.m.
